Simplification, Part 2

Talking about the Optimus Maximus keyboard.

conversations with daddy

Me: Ano yan? (What’s that?)
Daddy: Keyboard. Each key is a screen.
Me: Anong kakaiba dyan at mahal? (What’s so unique about it that it’s so expensive?)
Daddy: You can program it to show anything.
Me: Huh? Di ko naman maintindihan. (I don’t understand.)
Daddy: Pwede mo customize nakadisplay sa bawat key. (You can customize what to display on each key.)
Me: I still dont get it.
Daddy: For the people who can’t do anything else with money. Me: Ok…

Geez.

Simplification

I know a lot of things, but I don’t know everything.

So sometimes, I may need to have things simplified so I can catch on, just like in an earlier conversation.

conversations with daddy

From now on, every time you see this photo, will mean I am posting about us. LOL. <3 We look so happy.

So anyway, it went like this.

Daddy: I’m gonna put some thermal compound on my CPU.
Me: ….
Daddy: I’m gonna put some goo on my laptop.
Daddy: Ok?
Me: Ok…

So afterwards I just had to ask what the goo is for. And he says, “Thermal compound. Better heat absorption.”

Deep breath. Too much, too much for me.

I’m going back to staring at him.

For Valentine’s Day

Only a few more days and it’s V-day.

This afternoon, I spent some time looking at girly stuff that would be fun to have on that grossly commercialized holiday. I came up with the following:

Lady Godiva Chocolates

Lady Godiva Chocolates

Lady Godiva Chocolates. Omg, what could be more sinful? I know, I’ll probably bitch later about how the chocolates inflated my already large tub o’ lard. But whatever. Lady Godiva chocolates are divine.

Tulips

How can someone go wrong with flowers?

Even though I’ve begun to love flowers (because I used to really hate flowers), I am still allergic to pollen, but who cares? Flowers are really nice to look at. And my choice? Tulips! Or maybe… I think I will accept any kind plant for my garden. Yeah, I think I prefer the latter. Having a nice addition to my garden is much more preferable than bouquets that will wilt in a few days.

Romantic Comedies

Romantic Comedies, ftw!

Watching romantic comedies is one of the things I would love to do on Valentine’s Day. Rarely do I watch romantic comedies and chick flicks, so V-day is a logical enough excuse to be sillier than I normally am.

Now for the best part, what I really, really want for V-day… is the owner of the blog below:

Blued888

Oh, the dirty things I would do to the blogger of EE.

I’m pretty sure none of you readers would like to know what’s going on in my mind.

Mmmmm.

My First Article on Technorati

OMG Yes! Today my first article as a Technorati writer was published. I couldn’t be happier.

Since I already have a lifestyle – homemaking blog, I figured it would be nice for me to venture into the parenting niche. I’ve been looking for writing gigs, either for pay or for exposure, and I am just really happy to write for Technorati.

Yyyyyaaaaaayy!

Home Sonic, Please Stop Calling Me

Yesterday morning I received a call from from someone named Sophia, telling me she’s from PGU (I forgot what the acronym means) and that their company recently had an electronic raffle draw and I was one of the winners.

I was told I do have a freebie/prize item waiting for me at Home Sonic Appliance Center Starmall, Alabang branch, and that I should claim it as soon as possible.

I already knew it was utter bullshit because I never joined any raffle draw. But I let her go on with her drivel, and I just half-listened; because you know, I like wasting some people’s time. Like, the kind of people who tried to waste mine. :p

It was a good thing that I the phone is one my desk, right beside the laptop. So while the person was trying very hard to convince me to come to Home Sonic, I was already searching for them on Google.

Below are other blogs and forums discussing about the Home Sonic scam.

Of course I didn’t drop by their store. I have no plans to.

But not more than 20 minutes ago I received another call from Sophia, telling me she wanted to follow-up her call from yesterday, and that if I have already claimed my so-called prize.

I won’t fall prey, Home Sonic. I’m not easily duped. So please stop calling me already.
